PATRICK-HENRY-VILLAGE: PROCESS

With MVRDV, Carlo Ratti Associati, ASTOC Architects&Planners, Ramboll Liveable Cities Lab and the University of Brighton, the IBA was able to win over both young and established, local and international urban planning offices to work out scenarios for the conversion area. Together with the citizens the planners drew up four different thematic scenarios. The Digital Design Unit (DDU) of TU Darmstadt designed a computer game based on Minecraft to involve a younger audience. KCAP Architects&Planners merged the various results into one coherent development vision. IBA and the civic administration are currently preparing the next steps for the political bodies.
