The first LOGBuch to be published by IBA Heidelberg in its fourth year of existence explores the topic of »Wissen schafft Stadt« (knowledge-based urbanism) and its relevance for Heidelberg.

Reflections

The first part explains the discourse on urban development in the context of the knowledge-based society and analyses the specific situation in Heidelberg. In the second part, scientists, politicians and representatives of civil society discuss the main topics of IBA Heidelberg: Science and Knowledge Spaces, Networks, Urban Metabolisms and Co-production. The third part provides an analysis of the situation in Heidelberg.

The IBA_LOGBuch N°1 combines scientific contributions, interdisciplinary panel discussions and short stories by journalists. Photographs by Heidelberg based photographer Oliver Mezger and a detailed glossary complement the volume.
